Ghostbusters Themed Dinner
It’s not Halloween in our household until we’ve watched Ghostbusters, and this year we enjoyed a special themed dinner to celebrate! One of my favorite Halloween memories was the year we all dressed up as Ghostbuster characters for trick-or-treating. Eric even constructed an Ecto-1 wagon for Gemma to ride along in while we jammed to the Ghostbusters theme all night. We had a blast! For this reason, Ghostbusters will always be a Halloween staple in our household. Today, I’m sharing our Casper Themed Brunch to celebrate National Pancake Day on September 26th! We typically enjoy fun themed dinners in our house, but to take advantage of this pancake-loving holiday, I switched things up and planned a brunch menu instead! Jungle Cruise Themed Dinner
The long-anticipated Jungle Cruise movie recently premiered, and we did a themed dinner to celebrate the night! This film is based on the beloved attraction in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Full of corny dad jokes and groan-worthy puns, Jungle Cruise is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite attractions in the parks. And I’m happy to say, the film was successful in incorporating that classic fun. Oliver and Company Themed Dinner Night
This week, our themed Disney Dinner is inspired by the animated classic, Oliver and Company! This film is loosely based on the story of Oliver Twist and features a lost kitten who joins up with a gang of dogs in New York City. My kids love this movie because it features fun musical numbers, lovable furry friends, and the great city of New York! Not only did we enjoy watching Oliver and Company with this themed dinner, but we also started the evening out by watching a doggie dock diving competition at our local sports store. This week, we are premiering the new Disney+ feature film, Luca, with a themed Disney dinner! Luca is a story about two young sea monsters (Luca and Alberto) set in the Italian Riviera. Able to disguise themselves as human beings, Luca and Alberto discover food and friendship in the small fishing town of Portorosso.
