Under Wraps: A Mummy Themed Dinner
We kicked off spooky season with a viewing of Disney’s Under Wraps accompanied by a mummy themed dinner! Released in 1997, Under Wraps was the first ever Disney Channel Original Movie. The story follows an Egyptian mummy who is brought back to life by a mystical amulet. He is discovered by three children who befriend him and give him the nickname, Harold. Crazy antics ensue while Harold attempts to navigate the modern world and reunite with his lost love. SpongeBob SquarePants Birthday Party Theme
This week, we celebrated my daughter’s 8th birthday with a SpongeBob SquarePants party theme! My kids are big SpongeBob fans. It all started with my oldest, who is now 16 – if you can believe it! She adored the cartoon growing up, so for her 3rd birthday I made her a SpongeBob cake. Little did I know then, but that would be the start of many themed dinners. This week, we’re kicking off the spooky season with a special Halloweentown themed dinner! Halloween starts early in our house – too early some may say. But the way I see it, if Halloween parties are taking place at Disney, then we should be celebrating too! This week, we enjoyed a themed dinner featuring our favorite characters from The Mandalorian! Currently in its third season, The Mandalorian has been a pop culture phenomenon ever since it debuted on Disney+. With its brand new characters and storylines, this fresh take on the Star Wars universe has touched the hearts and minds of viewers all over the world. This week, we watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer while enjoying a special dinner themed to the film! When I think of a Christmas classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer always comes to mind. Reflecting on my earliest Christmas memories, I remember being so excited to pop in my recorded Rudolph VHS tape and watch the movie. Yes, you read that right!
