Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Checklist

Fall has arrived at Walt Disney World, and that means it’s time for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  Guests flock to this premiere after hours event to enjoy specialty entertainment, trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom, dance parties, and rare character sightings.  There are a ton of exclusive offerings during this five-hour affair.  So, to help you make the most of your party time, we’ve created a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party checklist!

But before we dive into our checklist for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, let’s go over what you can expect to find at the party:

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event taking place on select nights from August 11 to November 1, 2023.  The party officially kicks off at 7pm, but party guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm.

Guests of all ages are encouraged to come in costume and collect candy at various trick-or-treat stations throughout Magic Kingdom.

But the Halloween party isn’t just about trick-or-treating!  During the five hours of party time, guests can enjoy the following:

  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular – A frightfully enchanting fireworks display hosted by Jack Skellington and featuring favorite Disney Characters.
  • Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade – This monstrously fun parade features wicked Disney Villains, spooky Haunted Mansion spirits, and beloved Disney Characters donning their Halloween finest.
  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular – The Sanderson Sisters return to conjure the wickedly fun Party Potion and bewitch the partygoers at Magic Kingdom.
  • Disney Junior Jam – Young partygoers will love this dance party at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café where they can dance the night away with Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Timon.
  • Rare Characters – Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a great opportunity to meet characters you normally don’t see in the parks such as Elvis Stich, The Seven Dwarfs, and Jack Skellington & Sally.
  • Streetmosphere Performances – Throughout Magic Kingdom, guests can catch various live performances including the Cadaver Dans, Rusty Cutlass and ZOM-BEATZ stage show.
  • Party Exclusive Offerings – During the party, guests can enjoy exclusive menu items, PhotoPass Magic Shots, and merchandise not available to daytime guests.

That is a lot to accomplish in five hours!  It’s impossible to see and do everything in one night at the party.  But, with this Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party checklist, you can prioritize your favorites and have the best spooky night ever!

Trick-Or-Treat Throughout the Park

As I mentioned before, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a great chance for guests of all ages to dress up in costume and trick-or-treat around the park! 

Cast members hand out generous amounts of Mars Wrigley treats at the trick-or-treat stations.  Seriously, your arms will probably get tired from carrying that heavy candy bag around!

Have someone in your party with food allergies?  Never fear!  Guests with food allergies can collect tokens to redeem at Allergy-Friendly Centers for special treats!

Adventureland:

  • Tortuga Tavern
  • Enchanted Tiki Room

Frontierland:

  • Tom Sawyer Island Dock
  • Country Bear Jamboree

Liberty Square:

  • Colombia Harbour House

Fantasyland:

  • Mickey’s Philharmagic
  • Pinocchio Village Haus
  • Ariel’s Grotto
  • Gaston’s Tavern
  • Fantasyland Train Station

Tomorrowland:

  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
  • Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
  • TRON Lightcycle/Run

Ride Attractions

One of the benefits of attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the limited capacity.  This means shorter waits for attractions!  We’ve only included attractions with a special party twist on our checklist.  But, if you want to take advantage of low wait times to get on some rides, you can head over to the following attractions:

Adventureland:

  • Jungle Cruise
  • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Swiss Family Treehouse

Frontierland:

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Liberty Square:

  • Haunted Mansion*

Fantasyland:

  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
  • “It’s a small world”
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Mad Tea Party*

Storybook Circus:

  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • The Barnstormer

Tomorrowland:

  • Tomorrowland Speedway
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover

Meet Your Favorite Characters

Classic Disney characters are out in full force during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including some rare sightings!  Many of them are dressed in their Halloween finest, which makes these character interactions extra special.

Party Specific Magic Shots

Disney’s PhotoPass Service is the perfect way to capture your memories at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  PhotoPass Photographers are located throughout the park to snap photos in a variety of spooky settings including character interactions.  But one of my favorite features of PhotoPass is Magic Shots!
