It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown – Themed Dinner
We capped off our Halloween dinner series with a menu inspired by It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown has been a timeless Halloween tradition since it first aired in 1966. Based on the comic strip Peanuts, this animated special follows Charlie Brown and his friends as they celebrate Halloween. However, Linus chooses to forgo his friends’ traditional celebrations, and instead spends Halloween waiting in a pumpkin patch for the mythical Great Pumpkin. Our Great Pumpkin dinner was inspired by Charlie Brown and his friends as well as Linus’s “sincere” pumpkin patch! * This post contains affiliate links. This means, if you click a link…

Nightmare Before Christmas Dessert Board
This week, we created a dessert board with delicious treats inspired by Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas! Growing up, I absolutely loved The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I’m happy to say my kids have followed in my footsteps! It’s our tradition to watch the film every Halloween night after an evening of trick-or-treating. But no one in the family loves Jack Skellington more than my three-year-old. Spooky season or not, he loves dancing around the house to the soundtrack while pretending to be Jack. We’ve already done a Nightmare Before Christmas Themed Dinner, but my son was still a baby and missed out on the fun. So, this year I…

Under Wraps: A Mummy Themed Dinner
We kicked off spooky season with a viewing of Disney’s Under Wraps accompanied by a mummy themed dinner! Released in 1997, Under Wraps was the first ever Disney Channel Original Movie. The story follows an Egyptian mummy who is brought back to life by a mystical amulet. He is discovered by three children who befriend him and give him the nickname, Harold. Crazy antics ensue while Harold attempts to navigate the modern world and reunite with his lost love. I think most Disney-loving 90s kids can agree – Under Wraps is one of the best Disney Channel Original Movies. So, it’s no surprise it’s the first original movie to be…

SpongeBob SquarePants Birthday Party Theme
This week, we celebrated my daughter’s 8th birthday with a SpongeBob SquarePants party theme! My kids are big SpongeBob fans. It all started with my oldest, who is now 16 – if you can believe it! She adored the cartoon growing up, so for her 3rd birthday I made her a SpongeBob cake. Little did I know then, but that would be the start of many themed dinners. Since my oldest passed on her love of SpongeBob to her younger siblings, I thought it would be fun to revisit the theme for my younger daughter’s 8th birthday party. Her SpongeBob birthday party featured DIY decorations, party games, and food and…
