International Food and Wine Festival – Recipes to Make at Home!

EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival has kicked off at Walt Disney World and is bigger and better than ever!  The festival spans 128 days this year, making it the longest running festival to date.  Attendees can look forward to sampling food and beverage offerings from across the globe as well as culinary demonstrations from celebrity chefs and exciting special events.  It really is a foodie’s paradise.  However, if you are like me and can’t make it to the festival this year, I have some official Food and Wine Festival recipes that you can make at home!

Most of these Food and Wine Festival recipes feature popular festival offerings from past years and come straight from Disney.  Which festival favorites will you be cooking at home?

For those looking to enjoy some exotic spices in an approachable dish, this Butter Chicken is for you!  Found at the Africa Booth, this Food and Wine Festival recipe features tender bites of chicken in a wonderfully spiced tomato, butter, and cream curry.  While big on flavor, this dish is not overly spicy.  Check out the recipe over at the Disney Food Blog!

Impossible Burger Slider with Wasabi Cream and Spicy Asian Slaw

Impossible Slider at Food and Wine Festival

This plant-based slider is a current 2021 festival offering available at the all-vegan Earth Eats booth.  This slider is served on a sesame seed bun and gets a spicy kick from the wasabi cream and Asian slaw.  If you aren’t interested in trying the slider with a plant-based patty, you can easily swap in your preferred burger.  But I say, give the Impossible patty a try – it might surprise you!  Check out the recipe at Disney Parks Blog!   

Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pão de Queijo)

This dish is incredibly popular at the Brazil Marketplace booth as well as the Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom.  Now I have to tell you, this isn’t an OFFICIAL recipe from Disney.  But this recipe comes from Brazilian bakery owner Ricardo Gonzalez and King Arthur Flour, which makes it authentic enough for me!  If you are a fan of this chewy cheesy snack, give this recipe from WDW News Today a try!

This African stew contains red lentils, yogurt, quinoa, and flavorful spices.  Located at the Africa Marketplace booth, this vegetarian stew offers up a spicy kick, making it a huge satisfier for heat-seeking festival goers. Check out the recipe at WDW Info!
