10.  Carousel of Progress

Disney - Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress
  • Park: Magic Kingdom – Tomorrowland
  • Duration: 20 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

This classic Disney attraction follows an American family over the course of four generations.  During the performance, audience members observe how technological progress alters their daily lives in various scenes presented in a revolving theater.

While this attraction is meant to be educational (and not quite as engaging for baby as other shows on this list), it is a great spot to escape the heat in an air-conditioned theater.  Because it is a longer show, it is also great for baby to grab a quick nap or nursing session.

Honorable Mentions: Hall of Presidents (Magic Kingdom – Liberty Square) and American Adventure (EPCOT) are other great shows due to their 25+ min durations that allow baby to escape the heat and take a break from the parks.

9.  Enchanted Tiki Room

The Enchanted Tiki Room
  • Park: Magic Kingdom – Adventureland
  • Duration: 10 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is a timeless show that guests of all ages will enjoy.  During the performance, guests are serenaded by animatronic tropical birds amidst colorful flowers and tiki statues.  Babies will be captivated by the sights and sounds illustrating the beauty of the South Pacific.

BE FOREWARNED:  There is a brief period of loud chanting, flashing lights and darkness depicting a volcano eruption.  While an exciting part of the show for some, sensitive viewers may find this element unnerving.

8.  Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along Walt Disney World
  • Park: EPCOT – France Pavilion
  • Duration: 15 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

This sing-along, narrated by Mrs. Potts, features beloved songs from the original film.  This show offers an interesting perspective of how Belle and the Beast fell in love that may surprise viewers!  Babies will enjoy this performance because of the catchy songs and fun audience participation!

7.  Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Philharmagic
  • Park: Magic Kingdom – Fantasyland
  • Duration: 12 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

This enchanting 3D feature follows Donald Duck as he chases Mickey’s sorcerer hat through classic Disney movie scenes including Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid.  Most babies probably won’t leave the 3D glasses on, and that is OK!  The exciting visuals of Donald’s adventure accompanied by beloved Disney songs will keep your little one entertained during this performance.

Honorable Mention: Muppet Vision 3D – Hollywood Studios

This zany performance features The Muppets as they test out their newest invention – Muppet Vision 3D!  There are plenty of 3D gags, musical performances, and live special effects for guests of all ages to enjoy.

FAIR WARNING: It’s Tough to be a Bug – Animal Kingdom

Now, you may be thinking these family-friendly 3D shows are great for babies at Walt Disney World.  But I have to warn you, It’s Tough to be a Bug can be downright terrifying for little viewers.  Every time I have seen this show, there has been at least one meltdown heard within the audience.  Every. Single. Time.  This show features Flik from A Bug’s Life as he shares what it is like to be a bug – and how hard it can be!  Things start out charming but take a dark turn (literally) as the audience is confronted by an angry Hopper.  Larger than life spiders drop down from the ceiling and the audience is plunged into total darkness.  If you have a baby or toddler with you, you may want to consider skipping this attraction if possible!

6.  Country Bear Jamboree

The Country Bear Bear Band Bears Now in High Definition
  • Park: Magic Kingdom – Frontierland
  • Duration: 16 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

This classic Disney attraction features a lovable cast of animatronic bears performing a medley of humorous country western songs. This attraction was one of the last developed by Walt Disney, and as such is affectionately known as Walt’s Last Laugh.  The musical performances and lively cast of bears makes this a great show for babies in Walt Disney World.

5.  For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

  • Park: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Duration: 25 min
  • Air Conditioned: Yes

This musical stage show presents the story of Walt Disney’s Frozen as told by Arendelle’s Royal Historians.  During the performance, favorite characters (including Elsa and Anna) make appearances as the Royal Historians share exciting moments from the film. The audience is highly encouraged to sing-along to their favorite songs.  This is a great show for babies at Walt Disney World because they can enjoy the performances on stage as well as the audience participation. There is also a magical surprise at the end of the show!

*Edited to add – after bringing my toddler to this show, I feel I have to share a disclaimer for any like-minded little ones. The “magical surprise” in this show is a beautiful snow shower caused by Elsa. However, as soon as the fake snow began falling, my son freaked! It was very bizarre for him, and none of the other little ones in the audience seemed bothered by it. I’m really not sure what caused this reaction, he loved the show otherwise. We definitely laughed about it afterward and it is a favorite memory of our trip. Just be aware of the (rather unlikely) possibility!

Frozen Sing-Along

4.  Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Voyage of the Little Mermaid Show for Babies at Walt Disney World

  • Duration: 17 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

This visually stunning stage show follows the story of Ariel as she wishes herself human to find her true love.  This show features songs from the original film, live performances, and amazing puppetry.  The vibrant colors of the blacklit puppets and fun musical numbers makes this a great show for babies at Walt Disney World. There are, however, brief periods of darkness accompanying Ursula’s intimidating presence that may be a bit scary for sensitive viewers.

3.  Festival of the Lion King

Festival of the Lion King
  • Park: Animal Kingdom
  • Duration: 30 min
  • Air-Conditioned: Yes

Festival of the Lion King is another great show for babies at Walt Disney World which celebrates Simba and the Lion King! This live performance features songs from the original movie, aerial acts, acrobatics, and dance.  Audience participation is highly encouraged, making this a very exciting and interactive show for baby to enjoy!

2.  Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage

This Broadway-style musical is a stunning retelling of the animated feature.  Audiences are treated to incredible set design and costumes, choreographed dancing, and live vocals.  This performance is a treat for the senses that will captivate viewers of all ages!

1.  Finding Nemo – The Big Blue….And Beyond!

Finding Nemo Musical - The Tank

This live stage musical presents the story of Finding Nemo by utilizing incredible puppets and colorful underwater backdrops.  The special effects of this production are amazing, and even the youngest viewers will take notice.  This show features original songs including “Just Keep Swimming” and “In the Big Blue World.”  The vibrant colors, amazing live performances, and catchy tunes will keep your baby entertained during this stunning show.
