The BEST Places to Take a Break in Hollywood Studios
This week, we are covering the best places to take a break in Hollywood Studios.
A full day at the Disney Parks can be EXHAUSTING. The early mornings, hot sun, long lines, and miles of walking each day really adds up. Taking breaks is essential, especially when traveling with little ones or guests with mobility issues or special needs.
The best way to rest and recharge is to take a midday break at your resort. But that isn’t always the most convenient option for parkgoers. So, I’m creating a series of posts that cover the best spots to take a break in each Walt Disney World Park. And today, we are talking about Hollywood Studios!
I’ve organized the best Hollywood Studios break locations in the following categories:
Off the Beaten Path – locations to sit and get away from the crowds
Rest and Refuel – quieter places to grab a drink or snack
Attractions – relaxed rides and shows that allow you to rest (and are often airconditioned!)
Baby Care Centers – complimentary facilities which offer amenities for babies and toddlers
Whether you need to rest your feet, let a little one snooze in the stroller, or regroup and recharge – be sure to check out these Hollywood Studios break locations!
Off the Beaten Path
These areas tend to have lower crowds and offer seating in the shade or A/C. Amenities such as restroom facilities and charging stations may also be available.
Echo Lake
The walkway surrounding Echo Lake offers several quiet benches, shade, and even a frozen drink stand to grab a quick pick-me-up.
Grand Avenue
Grand Avenue has a great shaded seating area near the Miss Piggy fountain as well as nearby restrooms. Our kids were thrilled to watch the ducks splashing in the fountain while we regrouped and got ready for our next adventure!
Tower of Terror Courtyard
When exiting the Tower of Terror gift shop, head left, and you will find a small seating area that is typically uncrowded. Be sure to get your coffee fix at the nearby kiosk!
Rest and Refuel
PizzeRizzo
This Quick Service location is your go-to spot for pizza in a fun Muppets setting. If you head up to the second-floor balcony, you can enjoy the shade and a great view of Grand Avenue. A lot of guests miss the balcony seating area, making it a great spot for a break in Hollywood Studios.

BaseLine Tap House
This hidden gem is a great spot to escape the crowds and relax in Hollywood Studios. The Tap House is technically a lounge, so food offerings are limited to a few small plates. But the location is still family-friendly and requires no Advance Dining Reservations.
Attractions
There are several attractions in Hollywood Studios which allow guests to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the park. Most of these attractions offer a relaxing ambiance, comfy seating, A/C, and low wait times for admittance.
Mickey Shorts Theater
This theater is rarely crowded, making it a great place to take a break in Hollywood Studios. Here, you can bask in the A/C while viewing the 10min Mickey short, Vacation Fun.
Beauty & The Beast – Live on Stage
This Broadway-style musical is an enchanting retelling of the animated feature. The 25min performance is captivating, and a must-do in Hollywood Studios. Although the show takes place outdoors, the seating area is shaded.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
This visually stunning stage show follows the story of Ariel as she wishes herself human to find her true love. The theater is cool and dark, allowing guests to unwind during the 17min performance.
Walt Disney Presents
This exhibit showcases rare artifacts from the life of Walt Disney. After wandering the airconditioned galleries, guests can settle in for a 15min documentary paying tribute to his life and legacy.
Muppet Vision 3D
This 17min show features the zany Muppets up to their usual shenanigans in a cool, airconditioned theater.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
Anna, Elsa, and their friends host this 25min musical stage show presenting the story of Frozen. Audience members can sing-along to their favorite songs if they wish, or use this as an opportunity to kick back in the airconditioned theater.
