16. Slinky Dog Dash
- Ride Type: Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 38”
- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Speed
Slinky Dog twists and turns through Andy’s backyard on this family-friendly coaster. Guests zoom up and down hills passing oversized toys and enjoy a “Big Finale” performed by nonother than Wheezy the Penguin! This coaster is tame (as far as coasters go) and can be a great intro to Disney World thrill rides for younger guests.
15. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Ride Type: Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 38”
- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Speed
Aboard a mine train, guests speed and sway through various scenes from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on this family-friendly coaster. This attraction features beautiful scenery and music from the original movie, making it another great introduction to thrill rides for younger guests in Disney World.
14. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Darkness, Loud
Guests get to fly the Millennium Falcon on this interactive mission to smuggle cargo from the First Order! Each passenger has an important job aboard the spacecraft which determines the success of your mission. Do you have what it takes to be a part of the crew?!
13. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Ride Type: Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 40″
- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Speed, Darkness
Guests of Big Thunder Mountain descend into a haunted gold mine and speed through a mysterious ghost town aboard a runaway train. Bumpy swoops and turns, exploding dynamite and toppling boulders up the thrill factor on this attraction.
12. Test Track
- Ride Type: Slot Car Dark Ride
- Height Requirement: 40”
- Thrill Factor: Speed, Small Drops
Guests design their very own virtual concept car, then take it for a spin on the exhilarating Test Track! Be prepared to encounter rough terrain, road obstacles, and inclement weather while traveling speeds of up to 65 miles per hour on this high-octane attraction. Add the end of the ride, check the scoreboard to see how well your vehicle operated!
11. Kali River Rapids

- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Spinning, Splashes
Kali River Rapids takes guests on an exciting whitewater journey through the jungles of Asia! Guests careen past erupting geysers and waterfalls, before raging currents drop the raft down a 20-foot slope. You WILL get wet, and possibly DRENCHED!
10. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- Ride Type: Trackless Dark Ride, Motion Simulator, Drop Ride System
- Height Requirement: 40”
- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Darkness, Loud
In Rise of the Resistance, guests become a part of their very own Star Wars adventure. Using cutting-edge technology, guests are captured by Kylo Ren and a legion of stormtroopers. Luckily, Resistance fighters are close at hand to aid in the escape, and plenty of surprises ensue!
9. Mission: SPACE
- Ride Type: Simulator
- Height Requirement: 40” (Green), 44” (Orange)
- Thrill Factor: Spinning, Darkness
Discover what it’s like to be an astronaut blasting off into space on Mission: SPACE! There are two intensity levels for this out-of-this-world attraction. Mission Green is a gentler experience of orbiting the Earth for younger riders. For thrill seekers, guests can select Orange Mission for an intense mission to Mars utilizing centrifuge force to spin and tilt the spacecraft during launch and reentry.
8. DINOSAUR
- Ride Type: Enhanced Motor Vehicle
- Height Requirement: 40”
- Thrill Factor: Small Drops, Darkness, Loud Sounds, Scary
Guests of DINOSAUR travel back to prehistoric times to save an Iguanodon dinosaur right before the catastrophic meteor strikes. The thrill factor is upped when it becomes clear a deadly Carnotaurus is stalking you while fiery meteors crash around the ride vehicle. Can you beat the clock in this race against extinction?
7. Splash Mountain
- Ride Type: Log Flume
- Height Requirement: 40”
- Thrill Factor: Big Drops, Splashes
Lively woodland critters serenade guests with “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” songs about Br’er Rabbit while cruising along the water. But don’t let those adorable creatures fool you – the story of Br’er Rabbit culminates as guests plummet down a 5-story drop into a thorny Briar Patch! And if the drop isn’t thrilling enough for you, the ensuing downpour of water will surely be!
* There are plans to retheme Splash Mountain into a Princess and the Frog attraction in the near future. We are excited to see the new Disney update but are glad the thrilling aspects of this ride will remain!
6. Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
- Ride Type: Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 44”
- Thrill Factor: Big Drops, Darkness, Loud Sounds, Speed, Scary
Expedition Everest takes guests through the frozen Himalayan mountains on a speeding train. But in the darkness, it becomes clear you are not alone on this expedition – you are being stalked by the mythical Yeti! Will you be able to escape the Yeti’s clutches on this thrilling journey through Everest?
5. Space Mountain
Ride Type: Roller Coaster
Height Requirement: 44”
Thrill Factor: Big Drops, Darkness, Speed
Space Mountain takes guests on an intergalactic journey! Guests blast off in a rocket and are transported to the deep darkness of space surrounded by glittering stars. The most thrilling aspect of this ride is that you can’t see the roller coaster tracks in front of you, so every jerk, turn, and drop is a surprise!
4. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Ride Type: Drop Tower
- Height Requirement: 40”
- Thrill Factor: Big Drops, Dark, Scary
As legend goes, in 1939 Tower Hotel guests were riding the elevator when it was suddenly struck by lightning…and were never seen again. Guests of this attraction will be transported to The Twilight Zone as they board the haunted elevator and come face to face with the ghosts of the missing patrons. And that is only the beginning of the thrills! As guests are suspended in the air, the elevator lift cables begin to snap and break, hurtling guests from the top of the tower!
3. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
- Ride Type: Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 48”
- Thrill Factor: Big Drops, Speed, Loud, Upside Down.
Guests of this attraction cruise the freeways around Hollywood in Aerosmith’s stretch limo to get to their concert across town. When this ride takes of…it takes OFF! Guests go from zero to 57mps in 2.8 seconds! And if that weren’t thrilling enough, there are plenty of inversions, rollover loops, and corkscrews to get your heart pumping!
2. TRON Lightcycle Run
- Ride Type: Semi-Enclosed Launched Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 48″
- Thrill Factor: Big Drops, Darkness, Speed
Guests climb aboard their very own Lightcycle and embark on a high-speed adventure through the Grid. TRON is one of the fastest roller coasters at any Disney theme park clocking in speeds of nearly 60mph. The intense launch and accelerated twists and turns will satisfy any thrill seeker in Walt Disney World.
1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
- Ride Type: Enclosed Roller Coaster
- Height Requirement: 42″
- Thrill Factor: Speed, Loud, Drops, Darkness, Spinning
Cosmic Rewind is a fully enclosed roller coaster with a reverse launch, and the first attraction in Walt Disney World to feature Marvel characters! Vehicles spin, dip, and dive through various jump points as the Guardians band together to save the day. Another unique aspect to this attraction is your ride experience changes as the soundtrack is randomized between six different songs each time you ride. Can you hit all six?!
