New Menu Items at Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar

During the holiday season, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar transforms into a festive den of yuletide merriment.  I’ve had the pleasure of visiting with my family to experience the Holiday Bar and Halloween Bar. But on a recent girls trip, I couldn’t wait to show my friends the incredible festive theming at Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar – and also sample the brand-new menu items!

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is a family-friendly lounge located in Disney Springs.  This watering hole is designed to resemble an airplane hangar-turned-dive bar.  And who should be the proprietor of such a location?  Well, none other than Indiana Jones’s high-flying and adventure-seeking pal – Jock Lindsey!

Fans of Raiders of the Lost Ark will remember Jock Lindsey (and his boa constrictor, Reggie) helping Indy with a daring escape during an expedition in Peru.  And as the story goes, after adventuring with Indy in central Florida, Jock decided to settle down with Reggie and build an airplane hangar in Disney Springs.  The location became a popular stopover for other world travelers, and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar was born!

On any average day, you will find incredible theming at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar showcasing objects and trophies from his worldwide adventures.  But lucky for us, we also got to experience the lounge decked out for the holidays!

During the holiday season, the lounge transforms into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar with wall-to-wall Christmas décor and a special menu featuring festive food and drinks.

Décor

There is no question the holidays have arrived at Jock Lindsey’s as soon as you walk through the door.

Garlands and Christmas lights hang from the rafters and across bookcases.

And elves and Santa figures can be found nestled among Jock’s collection of memorabilia.

My favorite thing about Christmas is the lights and decorations, and Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar hit the nail on the head!

And to make our dining experience at Jock Lindsey’s even better – we got to sit in the coveted diving bell booth! This was a first for me, and I was on cloud nine.

Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar Drink Menu

Feeling giddy about the awesome Christmas décor, we kicked off our meal with one of the festive cocktails featured on the holiday menu.

Holiday Spritz

The Holiday Spritz is made with Aperol Liqueur, cranberry juice, smoked cranberry syrup, and prosecco.

I really enjoyed this cocktail, it wasn’t too sweet and was very refreshing. I didn’t detect much smoke from the cranberry syrup, but I was very happy with it regardless.

Gingerbread Martini

Next up was the Gingerbread Martini. This cocktail is made with Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur, RumChata Cream Liqueur, gingerbread syrup, and Half & Half.

I loved the presentation of this martini – the little chocolate gingerbread man was adorable! The cocktail was brimming with festive flavors such as cinnamon, ginger, and clove. This drink is very sweet, but if you this of it more as a dessert, it’s quite enjoyable!

Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar Food Menu

Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar features a limited menu of casual fare with a festive twist.

A Wreath of Wellington

This new menu item at Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar is made with strip steak, mushroom duxelles, Gruyere, puff pastry, herbed parmesan, and horseradish-mustard aioli.

The Wellington came out in a smoke-filled glass dome, and when our server removed the lid he sang us a little Christmas carol. I don’t know if they do that for everyone or if we were just lucky – but we loved it!

The dish, unfortunately, was a let down for us. The meat was very well-done, and we had wished it was more tender. The horseradish sauce was also a let down; it was very mild and I was hoping for more bite from the horseradish.

Holiday Mine Car Meatballs

These maple-bourbon meatballs are served with a Granny Smith apple and cranberry chutney and thyme.

These were a big hit with the group! The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and the chutney brought all the festive flavors.

One of my friends even commented they were just like a favorite dish her mother makes. That’s a pretty big deal!

Boughs of Holly Deviled Eggs

The final menu item we tried at Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar was the Boughs of Holly Deviled Eggs. These were made with sweet potato filling, fried chicken, herbed butter, cranberry, and parsley.

These were served in a delightful Christmas tree tray, which played holiday music when opened. The chicken was very juicy, and there was a fantastic savory flavor to the dish from the herbed butter – almost like Thanksgiving dressing.

We thought these deviled eggs were fabulous, and there were my favorite dish of the day!

Final Thoughts

Well, Jock Lindsey did it again! We thoroughly enjoyed taking in the festive decor while enjoying our holiday food and drinks. The two cocktails I tried were great, and the deviled eggs and meatballs are certainly menu items I would get again during a return visit to Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar.
