Fans of Jock Lindsey’s are no strangers to the impeccable Indiana Jones theming and festive overlay that takes place over the holidays. But this year, Jock is also bringing the spooky vibes to his Hangar Bar!

Being huge fans of Halloween, a visit to Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar was a must-do on our recent visit!

Décor

Setting foot in Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar instantly transports you to a lively vintage Halloween soiree. The decorations are kitschy in the best way possible.

Festive tinsel garland drapes across the rafters and bookcases, and jack-o-lanterns flicker in every corner.

I especially loved the vintage Halloween paper décor which hung throughout the space.

There is so much to look at and take in!

The décor was perfectly paired with the subtle Halloween track playing in the background.

Drinks

Jock has a few sinister sips mixed up to match the frightfully festive décor in the lounge. The specialty drinks available at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar include:

Snake Egg Surprise – Simply Lemonade, lime juice, desert pear syrup, and green apple boba pearls (non-alcoholic)
Cauldron Cooler – Hendrick’s Gin, Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and butterfly pea extract
Scarab Beetle Essence – Siesta Key Silver Rum, Malibu Coconut Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao Liqueur, DOLE Pineapple juice, and grenadine
The Spike Trap – Malibu Coconut Rum, Stoli Vanilla Vodka, cream of coconut, and Sprite garnished with a ghost marshmallow

Snake Egg Surprise

I love the nod to the stomach-churning snake-eating scene in Temple of Doom, here. This is the only non-alcoholic offering, so I decided to order one for the kids to share. And it worked out perfectly, because this drink was huge!

Snake Egg Surprise

I did manage to sneak one small sip, and I thought it was tasty and not overly sweet. The kids loved it, especially the boba pearl “snake eggs!”

Cauldron Cooler

I ordered the Cauldron Cooler for myself. This was a fun and interactive drink. Once you pour the lime juice from the vial into the cocktail, the drink changes colors!

Cauldron Cooler

Besides the fun presentation, I enjoyed the flavor of this cocktail. You could really taste the gin, and although it was a sweet drink, it wasn’t overly so. The butterfly pea tea also added a nice floral note.

The Spike Trap

We also ordered The Spike Trap, mostly because we wanted the adorable ghost Peep. Despite the cute presentation and fun tilted glassware, this drink was much too sweet for me.

Food

Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar features a limited menu of casual fares with a spooky twist. Everything sounded so good, so we ordered the whole menu!

Alien Invader Sliders – Crispy Nashville hot fried chicken, sliced provolone, dill pickle slices, cheddar-chive biscuit, and queen olives
Cursed Mummy Sausages – Mini smoked sausages wrapped in puff pastry and served with pomegranate-mustard sauce
Phantom Dumplings – Chicken and pork dumplings wrapped in rice paper and served with teriyaki dipping sauce
Zombie Eye Bites – Traditional deviled egg filling, crispy fried chicken, and black olives
Skull of the Dead – Mojo pork, cheddar, flour tortilla, and pickle pico de gallo

Alien Invader Sliders

These sliders were mostly biscuit, and quite dry unfortunately. I wish they were served with a sauce or hot honey to moisten things up. I was also expecting the chicken to have a kick to it, but it was very mild.

When it comes to presentation, however, they definitely knocked these guys out of the park!

Cursed Mummy Sausages

This dish was so fun! The mummies are served in a coffin, which makes noise when opened.

Cursed Mummy Sausages

They were a hit with the kids, so I hardly ate any! But I will say, the puff pastry was baked perfectly, and the sausage paired with the pomegranate mustard was delicious.

Phantom Dumplings

I was skeptical of the draped rice paper “ghost sheets” on these meatballs, but this dish ended up being one of my favorites! The meatballs had great flavor and a nice citrusy note – maybe lemongrass? And the teriyaki sauce was the perfect accompaniment.

Phantom Dumplings

Even though I wasn’t a fan of the rice paper, my 9-year-old was happy to consume all the discarded ghost sheets for us.

Zombie Eye Bites

These were another letdown for me. The chicken under the deviled egg was very dry, and the traditional deviled egg filling just wasn’t that creamy and flavorful like you would expect.

Zombie Eye Bites

My teenager seemed to really enjoy them, however, so maybe it’s just a matter of personal preference.

Skull of the Dead

This dish had good flavor, but it was a pretty standard quesadilla. The tortilla could have used more grilling to get that crunch, but it was very busy at the restaurant, so I understood the kitchen trying to push out dishes.

Skull of the Dead

The sauce served in the syringe was odd to me, it tasted like a mix of ketchup and mustard rather than a traditional hot sauce you’d expect to be served alongside this type of dish. The pickle pico de gallo was a better accompaniment, in my opinion.

Final Thoughts

The spooky vibes at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar were top notch! I felt the vintage and kitschy décor was fun and unique – we don’t see it enough anymore!

I did leave feeling slightly disappointed with the food offerings. When we dined at Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, I was blown away by all the delicious bites. It set the bar very high! But for Halloween, I felt like the focus was more so on the appearance rather than the flavors.

Overall, I’m still glad we dined at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar. It was a fun time, the atmosphere was great, and the food was decent (just not amazing). Perhaps I was too spoiled from snacking around EPCOT Food and Wine Festival prior to this visit!

So, if you’re a fan of Halloween and spooky vibes, I say give Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar a chance. Then, come back to Inspiring Magical Memories to let us know what you think!
