Cinderella’s Royal Table: Signature Celebration Package – A Review!
Hello, readers! Today, I am going to cover the ins and outs of THE premier dining experience at Magic Kingdom – the Signature Celebration Package at Cinderella’s Royal Table! My family and I made reservations for this special dining package to celebrate our wedding day at Walt Disney World. In this article, I will walk you through the experience and our impressions to help you decide if this dining event is right for your next Walt Disney World vacation.
The Package
The Signature Celebration Package includes dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table (inside the castle!), VIP fireworks viewing for Happily Ever After, and the After-Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.
Cost
The total cost of the package is $199 for adults and $169 for children aged 3-9, not including tax and gratuity. This is certainly a hefty bill, especially if we consider the costs of dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table and the After Fireworks Dessert Party separately. The cost of a standard dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table is $75 for adults ($45 for children), and the After Fireworks Dessert Party is $89 for adults ($53 for children). After some simple math, you will notice the Signature Celebration Package costs an additional $35. There are, however, some added perks to the package that may justify the extra expense to potential guests. I will cover some of these added perks throughout this article.
We decided to brace our wallets and book the experience! Getting a great view of the fireworks on my wedding night was a priority for me, as well as a special dinner. It was also my (then) three-year-old’s first trip to Disney World, and I knew she was looking forward to meeting the princesses. For these reasons, we decided it made the most sense to bundle these experiences with the Signature Celebration Package. We were celebrating being married, after all! And eating in the castle is something I believe every Disney fan should experience once in their lifetime!
It is important to note that admission to Magic Kingdom is required to make this reservation. Fireworks are also subject to cancellation due to inclement weather; however, the dining experience will still take place.
Reservations
Guests can book this experience on Disney’s Website, the My Disney Experience App, or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. The Signature Celebration Package only occurs on select days, and there is only one seating per evening. At the time of our visit, the seating times were 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00.
Upon Arriving
When it is time to check-in for your reservation, Disney requests guests show up no earlier than 5 minutes before their reservation time. The check-in location is at a podium near the entrance to Sir Mickey’s. After check-in, your group will get in line to be received by Cinderella and Prince Charming! Typically, visitors to Cinderella’s Royal Table only meet Cinderella, so the addition of Prince Charming is an added perk to the Signature Celebration Package.
The Menu
After meeting Cinderella and Prince Charming, we headed upstairs to be sat at our table. Guests of the Signature Celebration Package receive keepsake menus to commemorate the experience. The menu is also slightly different than the standard menu offered at Cinderella’s Royal Table, which is another added perk!
Beverages
Guests receive one complimentary glass of sparkling wine or a non-alcoholic cocktail to start off their meal. Soda, tea, and coffee are also included with the package.
Appetizers
Each guest may order an appetizer and an entrée. At the time of our visit, the appetizer choices included: Soup of the Day (Butternut Squash), Charcuterie Plate, Castle Salad, or Seared Scallops. I ordered the Charcuterie Plate, which I was disappointed in. The bread served with the selection of meats and pickles was very dry, and almost seemed stale. I was also hoping there would be cheese served as an accompaniment, but alas, no cheese.
My daughter ordered the soup, which was AWESOME (I had to try it, of course!). My husband ordered the scallops which he raved about. He said they were the best thing he ate that entire trip!
Entrees
For our entrees, my daughter ordered the Seared Pork Chop, my husband the Chef’s Fish of the Day (Salmon), and I ordered the Tenderloin of Beef. Everyone was very happy with their entrees. I had to taste each one (OF COURSE!), and I have to say the Tenderloin of Beef was the best! The meat was very flavorful and tender, and the roasted carrots were FANTASTIC!
Each guest also receives a small box containing two chocolate truffles to take home with them. These truffles are presented in containers adorned like Cinderella’s carriage. They were adorable! And the truffles were incredibly soft and decadent. Another added perk to the Signature Celebration Package, but I wish there were MORE of them!
The Characters
Guests of Cinderella’s Royal Table can look forward to meeting Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine, and Aurora. These characters are subject to change, but they are the very princesses we had the pleasure of dining with! Guests (child or adult!) may also receive wishing stars, magic wands, and toy swords as part of the experience.
My youngest loved getting the chance to meet all the princesses for the first time. We all cringed, however, when she very casually mentioned to Jasmine, “We used to have a cat…but it died.” Jasmine handled it beautifully!
The character interactions were very good, but I will say I felt that the dinner was rushed. We still had plenty of food left on our plates as staff began encouraging us to get moving to the fireworks viewing area. I understand the need to get people in and out quickly, especially when fireworks are scheduled to start. But with the price tag of the dinner, I would have wanted a little more time to actually enjoy it!
Fireworks Viewing
At the conclusion of dinner, guests receive a map of where the VIP fireworks viewing area is located. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the show is scheduled to start.
The viewing location is in the West Plaza Garden, which is an EVEN BETTER location than the other locations available for the regular dessert parties at Magic Kingdom. The area is directly in front of the castle and didn’t get crowded at all. Many guests comfortably sat during the fireworks show and still enjoyed great views.
This was EXACTLY what I wanted for our wedding night. We had an amazing view of the fireworks where we could comfortably watch them and avoided all the stress of staking out good spots and fighting the crowds. And let me tell you, I was definitely FEELING THE FEELS during the fireworks show – it was AMAZING! One of my favorite memories of the trip was watching my youngest daughter dance to the music with her magic wand – just living her best Disney life!
After Fireworks Dessert Party
Once the fireworks are over and the crowds have thinned a bit, Cast Members will lead the group to Tomorrowland Terrace for the dessert party. This is the very same dessert party attended by guests who solely booked the After-Fireworks Dessert Party.
Offerings
There are TONS of offerings at the dessert party, both sweet and savory. These are subject to change, but some things you can expect to see are:
- Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries
- Disney Character-Themed Desserts
- Build-Your-Own Sundae Station
- Create-Your-Own Cookies and Cupcakes
- Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake
- Eggrolls
- Spinach Dip
- Assorted fruits and cheeses
Beverages at the dessert party include:
- Sparkling Cider
- Hot Chocolate
- Specialty Lemonades
- Coffee
- Tea
- Beer and Wine (for guests 21 and over)
We had a BLAST at the dessert party! We were running around like kids in a candy store. My husband was especially thrilled with the adult beverage offerings…I think we got our money’s worth!
Cast Members sprinkled a little pixie dust on us during this experience and created a special treat for my husband and I to congratulate us on our wedding day. How did they know?! 😉 You gotta love that Disney Magic!
I have heard other dessert party attendees complain that the party felt very rushed, and Cast Members began tear down of the buffets before people had a chance to get their fill. This was not our experience, however. We left the dessert party thrilled about the experience – I would definitely do this again!
Final Thoughts
Let’s quickly go over some of the perks and cons of the Signature Celebration Package:
Perks:
- You get to meet Prince Charming!
- The menu for this experience is exclusive to the Signature Celebration Package, meaning you won’t come across it with standard Cinderella’s Royal Table reservations.
- The fireworks viewing location is superior to all other viewing locations included with dessert party reservations.
- Your meal includes a glass of sparkling wine (not included with the standard CRT reservation), keepsake menus, and a box of chocolate truffles for each guest.
Cons:
- Dinner felt rushed (a common complaint for standard CRT reservations as well)
- Reports of the dessert party feeling rushed from other attendees
Overall, we were very happy with the Signature Celebration Package at Cinderella’s Royal Table. While it was VERY expensive, it allowed us to check off several MUST DOs on our trip: meeting the princesses, having a special dinner in the castle, and INCREDIBLE fireworks viewing. It was a very special experience for us on our very special day.
However, this experience may not be for everyone. With the high cost, it was unfortunate that dinner felt so rushed. It is also worth noting that other attendees have felt the dessert party was rushed. If your only priority is eating in the castle and meeting the princesses, I would say to book a standard reservation for Cinderella’s Royal Table. You can save even more money by booking breakfast and benefitting from early park entry! If your priority is strictly fireworks and desserts, book that dessert party! But if you just want to HAVE IT ALL like we did (and you can scrape together the money to do so) book the Signature Celebration Package! It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience for us.
Would I book this experience again? No, not with the hefty price tag. I think eating in the castle was a one-and-done experience for my family. However, I think I would book another dessert party to watch the fireworks! It was a great way to end the night. There was enough variety between sweet and savory to easily make the experience a big meal. And the inclusion of alcoholic offerings can make it easy to get your money’s worth considering what Disney charges for adult beverages!
