Walt Disney World is a fantastic destination to celebrate special occasions. Perhaps you’ve become recently engaged or exchanged vows with your significant other? Maybe you’re celebrating a birthday, or an achievement like graduation or a promotion at work? Or maybe you’re simply celebrating the tasty Dole Whip you just picked up in the park – there is no occasion too small to celebrate at Walt Disney World!

But did you know Disney offers complimentary celebration buttons to guests who request one? These buttons come in a variety of styles and can be personalized to commemorate a special occasion. Plus, they make a fantastic keepsake of your trip!

Happy Birthday

If you’re celebrating a birthday during your vacation, be sure to pick up a “Happy Birthday” button to mark the occasion.

My son wore one while celebrating his fourth birthday in the parks, and I was blown away by the numerous well-wishes he received from cast members and parkgoers alike.

First Visit

The “First Visit” button is a must-have for parkgoers experiencing Walt Disney World for the first time. My daughter felt so special wearing this button during her first Disney trip.

Happily Ever After

We received “Happily Ever After” buttons after our Disney Fairytale Wedding to celebrate our union. But this special button isn’t just for newlyweds; it’s also appropriate for celebrating an engagement, anniversary, honeymoon, or vow renewal.

I’m Celebrating

The “I’m Celebrating” button is the perfect option to commemorate just about anything, such as retirement, pregnancy, or recovery from an illness.

Perhaps, you simply want to celebrate being back at the most magical place on earth. You can use any excuse to celebrate at Disney!

This button has extra space at the bottom so guests can fill in the details of their special occasion.

Where To Find Disney Celebration Buttons

Celebration buttons are available at several locations throughout the parks and resorts. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel, you can pick one up right at check-in!

Guest Relations will also have celebration buttons, and the cast members will be happy to help you customize it.

You may also find celebration buttons at some of the larger Disney gift shops. We picked up my son’s birthday button at World of Disney in Disney Springs. The Emporium at Magic Kingdom is also a good place to check for buttons.

Extra Disney Magic in Your Day

Donning a celebration button will make your Disney days extra magical as cast members and guests send you well wishes. It’s also fun to spread that cheer to other guests you may notice celebrating in the park!

During my son’s birthday trip, character interactions became extra special as each one wished my son the best on his birthday. Seeing how special he felt in those moments was precious, and those big smiles of his were priceless. Core memories in the making!

Wearing a celebration button may even get some pixie dust sent your way. During our Storybook Dining reservation, my son received a personalized “Happy Birthday” dessert to end our meal!

Now, I always tell my kids, “Never expect, but always appreciate.” So, this little bit of birthday pixie dust was a very nice surprise!

Overall, wearing a celebration button is a fun (and free!) way to add extra magic to your Disney days and make your celebration memorable.

What Can I Do With My Celebration Button After My Trip?

Besides sprinkling extra pixie dust on your Disney vacation, celebration buttons make fun and memorable keepsakes.

If you already collect Disney pins, you could incorporate your celebration buttons into a display on a pin board. You could also show them off on a bag, backpack, or jacket.

If you enjoy a DIY project, you could turn your celebration buttons into magnets or ornaments for your Christmas tree.

We put our “Happily Ever After” pins in a shadow box with other items from our wedding day at Disney.
